Dentistry’s Gone Digital

At Greenway Village Dental, our patients tell us all the time how they appreciate our advanced technology that makes for more comfortable dental experiences. Our technology minimizes pain and discomfort, provides more conservative treatment options, and provides peace of mind with improved diagnostics. We can also provide a number of homecare products to help you maintain that clean, healthy feeling between visits.

“I am so impressed with the high-tech equipment used. I would definitely recommend them.”

Conservative & Comfortable Dentistry

The best dental treatment is no dental treatment, so we aim for minimally-invasive treatment methods.

Our philosophy of care seeks to keep as much of your healthy, natural teeth and other oral tissues intact as possible—while keeping you as comfortable as possible. That’s why we use a topical anesthetic to numb the area before any injection, and other tools to accomplish these goals.

Dental lasers are one of our favorite tools—we can use them in so many ways! Laser technology helps us perform soft-tissue procedures without the need for a scalpel and sutures. Air abrasion is another awesome tool that helps us remove areas of decay and prepare teeth for restorative work without the need for the drill. These pieces of tech help our patients with dental anxiety feel at ease, and all of our patients feel more comfortable in the chair.

Advanced Dental Diagnostics

Digital technology helps us detect and diagnose dental problems sooner, before they progress.

Digital technology has truly revolutionized the medical and dental industries. Today, we use digital x-rays that can be taken right from the dental chair and reduce your exposure to radiation by up to 90%. We also use intraoral cameras to help us get a better look at the surfaces of the mouth, so we can detect potential problems sooner.

We talked a little above about using dental lasers for minimally-invasive procedures, but we can also use our Biolase® laser to help us diagnose the severity of cavities, and spot small areas of decay that may have otherwise gone unnoticed. If you fall into any of the high-risk categories for oral cancer, or you just want peace of mind, we use the Identafi® oral cancer screening device to provide yearly oral cancer screenings.

Bacterial Analysis

Oral DNA testing helps us look deeper into your biology to identify potentially harmful pathogens.

You won’t find this advanced diagnostic dental service at many other dental practices locally here in Clemmons (or nationally, for that matter!). We practice a biological model of dentistry, which means we don’t just drill and fill cavities. We want to look deeper to determine the biological causes of disease, so we can treat them at the source.

By taking a small sample of your biofilm or saliva, we can unlock many clues to help us get to the bottom of your oral and overall health problems. We can determine which pathogens are present in the mouth, and at what levels to understand your risk for dental problems like tooth decay and gum disease. Then, we can come up with the proper course of treatment to create a healthier oral environment.

Oral Homecare Products

Your oral health is in your hands. We can provide you with the tools to combat disease and decay.

We do our best to educate our patients thoroughly and provide the best possible preventive dental care. But when you only see us twice per year, your oral health is largely in your own hands. That’s why we keep a stock of our favorite homecare products, so you can maintain your best daily defense against disease and decay.

If you’re looking for some of the most effective, professionally-recommended homecare products to help you combat decay and gum disease, CariFree® offers an array of products to create a healthier, pH-balanced environment. We also offer a more natural line of products from Dental Herb Company, dry mouth treatments/saliva substitutes, Oral-B® and Sonicare toothbrushes, and air flossers.
